About Kristin Oliver
Born in Miami, Florida, Kristin Oliver has traveled throughout the Americas, Europe and the Middle East, living for extended periods in Berlin, Germany, New Orleans, Louisiana and more recently in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has a degree in graphic art and has owned her own photography studio for the last nine years. She self-published her first book of photographs in 2005 and has extensively exhibited both her personal and commissioned photography. She has also organized and marketed shows for a variety of other artists.
Kristin concentrates on two different styles of photography:
--Environmental portraiture that is typically commissioned work or a collaboration.
--Documentary photography, often produced on her travels.
Her work is inspired by music, history and literature, as well as by the people with whom she meets along the way and the stories they pass on. The learning never stops.
